About Trans-Hindukush Road Connectivity Project (THRCP/MOPW):
Improving Afghanistan’s infrastructure is important for hurrying economic development and lack alleviation. Despite very significant investment during the past decade, the country needs much additional investment in transport infrastructure to safeguard basic service transmission and enhance the quality of life of its growing population, and similarly to decrease constraints on market contact, economic growth and regional trade. The occupied of Afghanistan’s economy and the country’s national addition depends to a large degree on dependable road connections across the Hindukush mountain range, which stretches from the northeast of Afghanistan to the centre of the country and thereby establishes a physical barrier between the two key economic regions which are also the most highly populated areas.
The THRCP project is being transported by a government-led Project Management Team (PMT) and a Construction Supervision Unit (CSU) has been set up to adopt site supervision of all associated contracts. In parallel, the client has similarly appointed an global Implementation Advisor (IC) team to provide mistake and care development and delivery of the project.
