About The Ministry of Energy and Water

The Ministry of Energy and Water (National Water Regulatory Authority) and (Energy Services Regulatory Authority) operate in two sectors: energy and water, which provide the source of life and economic growth, and in accordance with the Afghan National Peace and Development Framework. It is moving forward. The overall vision of the Ministry of Energy and Water (National Water Regulatory Authority and Energy Services Regulatory Authority) is sustainable economic and social development, improving people’s living standards, reducing poverty and unemployment, and providing safe water and energy for current and future generations through development and management. It is a comprehensive source of water and energy.

The Ministry has taken effective and positive steps in the sectors of energy sector, water resources management, attracting investment to achieve sustainable energy from various domestic and foreign sources, taking advantage of proper water resources management and creating small and large dams in 2009. These achievements are due to the comprehensive efforts of the Ministry’s leadership and its staff in various fields; It has been able to have a direct impact on the lives and future of the people of the country in all provinces.

The leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Water (National Directorate of Water Management and Energy Services) has given serious attention to the basic sectors of energy development and water resources, given the difficulties in the country, which are reflected in this report.
