International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief programs. IMC is carrying out medical relief services in several provinces of Afghanistan.

Job Description:

Training and M&E Officer works under direct supervision of program coordinator . He/She should have Bachelor degree, preferably university degree holder in Medicine, should be capable of excellent  English, Dari and Pashto languages, computer applicable packages and must have good teaching and communication skills. Experience in gender based violence project and training and M&E is must.

The Responsibilities of the Training/M&E Officer are: 

General:

    1. Responsible to make sure implementation of the health sector response to GBV  Project both in Kabul and provinces
    2. Develop proper training plan for the project with the assistance of program coordinator .
    3. Represents IMC and the health sector response to  GBV project by holding meetings with BPHS implementer NGOs, local Government authorities and sharing information and providing feedback when requested.
    4. Organize and conduct Project related trainings according to plan including preparing handouts.
    5. Compile reports and insure availability of all well- organized correspondences of the trainings
    6. Select trainees from BPHS Implementers and PPHDs with their consultation and coordination to provide them GBV related trainings according to plan.
    7. Insure all training related objectives/indicators are achieved.
    8. Keeping all training/project related records (Soft and hard) including updating Training and FPC Database.
    9. Responsible for all filed and trainings reports for quality and for on-time submission to GBV Project Manager.
    10. Reports to program coordinator  on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and training wise about project progress                    Safeguarding policy for Staff
    11. Respect and follow International Medical Corps Safeguarding policy and never neglect, abuse, harm and exploit children, young people, and adult at risk,
    12. Report any actual or suspicious harm to the children and vulnerable adult caused by staff and program.

 

M&E Activity:

  1. To regularly supervise the training session and workshops
  2. Will collect data from each FPC on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc base
  3. Will monitoring FPCs and GBV focal points and will use MoPH approve monitoring
  4. Will participate joint monitoring team and will present IMC
  5. Will do post training follow visit

Technical Tasks:

  1. Design workshop for each category of staffs including MD doctors, Nurses, Midwives and Psychosocial Counselors (PSSC).
  2. To ensure the availabilities of teaching aids, materials and handouts before the start of workshop.
  3. Responsible for all paper work related to trainings
  4. To invite trainees for attending the workshop in coordination with relevant organs.
  5. To actively participate and monitor the training sessions.
  6.  To evaluate the workshop at the beginning, middle and end and file the results
  7. Coordinate closely the training activities with logistic, finance and admin Officers.
  8.  To develop a data base for all training workshop.
  9.  To provide training data as per request by Sr. Managers.

Miscellaneous Tasks/NON-Routine Tasks:

  1. Perform any other project related duty assigned by program coordinator
  2. Assist the program coordinator  and other management staff in tasks as required.

Authorities:

  1. Assist program coordinator   in interview and take part in the selection process of newly hired staff
  2. Supervise the training workshop and Family Protection Center staff.

Measures of Standards of Performance:

Judgment by the immediate supervisor (program coordinator) in his/her own observations, feedback from the staff, implementing partners, stakeholders and Provincial Public Health Directorate.

Job Requirements:

 

  1. The applicant will have three-year experience in GBV field
  2. The applicant will have three experiences in M&E field
  3. The applicant will have experience of training officer and relevant position
  4. The applicant will be graduated from recognized medical faculty or social science.
  5. Prefernce  will be given to female candidates
