YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of public awareness materials on children rights, denouncing violence against children from Islamic perspectives.
- Support to identify religious leaders in target provinces for participation in children rights training sessions.
- Support religious leaders to convey messages on children rights during Friday prayers.
- Facilitate training for religious leaders on children rights.
- Mobilization of religious leaders to promote children rights in their areas, and prevent children abuses.
- Mobilize religious leaders to denounce children rights abuses including practices of Bacha Bazi and make perpetrators accountable.
- Support organizing campaigns on promoting children rights.
- Coordinate and collaborate with relevant line ministries including ministry of haj and religious affairs, ministry of labor and social affairs, ministry of interior and others as on project related activities.
- Working closely and systematically with religious leaders throughout to achieve project objectives and optimal results and efficiencies.
- Attend relevant meetings and networking events
- Adhere to the organization code of conduct in professional and personal life and report breaches of the code to the appropriate persons
