Job Description:

  • Responsible to administer and coordinate all national vacancy announcements, reception of applications, scheduling interviews and report on candidate pipeline.
  • Coordinate the recruitment including being part of the selection process and liaise with hiring managers and external candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Responsible for on-boarding of new starters including ensuring all necessary documents and pre-employment checks are completed in line with War Child’s safer recruitment guidelines.
  • Schedule and coordinate the induction for the new starters as per the plan by liaising with the relevant managers and ensuring the completion of the induction.
  • Collect, update and secure all employee records correctly and confidentially on employee HR files, the HR system and any other HR records.
  • Drafting employment-related documentation such as offer letters and contracts for selected staff for the review and approval of the HR Manager.
  • Ensuring timesheets are submitted on time and filed correctly by the team.
  • Submission of all necessary payroll information for processing.
  • Collating and filing Achievement & Development plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with line managers, staff and any external stakeholders guiding them on HR administrative processes and ensure they are compliant with our standards, policies and local employment law.
  • Proactively share expertise with the HR team including continuous improvement of HR processes in collaboration with HR Manager.
  • Oversee the exit management process of exiting employees.
  • Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree in BBA or Human Resources
  • Several years’ experience, in the same area of activity
  • Committed to the values of War Child UK.
  • Knowledgeable in employee filing, maintenance of data and managing confidential information.
  • A lover of detail and repetitive tasks and have extensive understanding and appreciation of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to spot errors.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Offices and have experience in using HR systems to maximise productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • An excellent and culturally sensitive communicator, verbal, written and interpersonal, to build strong relationships and gain trust and credibility with people inside and outside of the organisation
  • A time management guru, always ensure you manage priorities in order of importance and complete objectives in the agreed time frame.
  • A trouble-shooter, think on your feet, operate autonomously and are responsive to unforeseen changes in your environment and able to calmly respond to other people’s needs.
  • Proficient in the employee life cycle, processing and advising on procedures and policy from recruitment to exit, with emphasis on a positive employee on-boarding experience
  • Very efficient in your approach to planning and organising your day and activities.
  • A creative thinker and proactively seek out solutions to administrative challenges.
  • Awareness of local employment law.
  • Proficiency in English and Pashto or Dari is essential.
