About Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO)
Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and Afghan-led organization, ASLO agrees to comply with the Afghanistan constitution and national laws, especially those for NGOs’ and acts accordingly.ASLO was established on 2013 by a group of young and energetic women and men who were highly motivated and committed for contributing their time, skills and energies for the development of Afghanistan and Promote Gender Equality. Women empowerment, and address gender-based violence Issues, Empower and educate women to participate in politics, social, economic and act in decision making process, reduce disaster risk Reduction (DRR) ,Environment., Legal aid access to justice, promotes democracy, governance, rule of law through project design and management, policy research survey and analysis, and public awareness campaigns, Advocacy, peace building, income generation, emergency response and supporting refugees, education and protection.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
The Program Officer is mainly responsible for strategic planning, stakeholders’ management and delivery of the program in Takhar provinces. The Program Officer Law project facilitates mobilization of communities, organization of social awareness events to community members and local monitors. Main duties and responsibilities are as follow:
Facilitate establishment of strong relationships with local stakeholders (including CDCs, communities, local government and civil societies) in the target provinces.
Facilitate means to assist communities in establishing processes by which they elect community representatives to become Local Monitors.
Mentor the provincial teams and volunteers in provinces to meet extensively the community members and record observation about Law services in the target schools.
Manage processes and learning materials creation for educating volunteers and various stakeholders on Afghan laws and monitoring skills.
Prepare program work plans and budget forecasts
Develop program reports (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Monitor data entry process, verify entered data and make sure that the database is working properly.
Hold regular meetings with Department of Justice, donor meetings, ASLO provincial office.
Must hold Have bachelor or Master degree on relevant of sector Law faculty and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Sharia., public administration, management or any other related fields. Master’s in Law or management would be given preference.
Hold at least 6-7 years of experience in management, research or Program officer on the law project Experience with public Law services and community monitoring is highly preferred.

Basic knowledge of the anti-corruption, Legal aid ,access to justice, promotes democracy, governance, rule of law, transparency and accountability issues
Excellent oral and written communication in English, speak Dari and Pashto;
Result-oriented and able to deliver within tight deadlines;
Able to commit to 24 months at least;
Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by ASLO management.
Fluency in English, Pashtu and Dari
