Job Summary:
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:
Manage the Activities, Solutions and implementation of projects dealing with Enterprise Business Unit, creating Tech solutions to Support EBU Sales team to Sell IP Bandwidth, to sell FTTH services and coordinate and manage the rollout of Transmission infrastructure for DPLC leasing and Interconnection point to point and point to Multi points, aggregations of branches, as well applications such as Virtual call centers and coordinate with other Depts to facilitate EBU new requirement, etc. throughout Afghanistan as per the SOPs and group guidelines.
Manage IP Bandwidth Capacity planning, Performance, contract Management, SLA, Renewal, routing, efficient sourcing, Backup and Redundancy , etc..
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Tasks:
Develop New Process to meet the Business requirements, planning, deployment, acceptance, performance monitoring, applying SLA’s.
Structure the Department as per Group Technology Org chart
Develop the Team competency and Make sure that team has the proper Skills to Design and Dimension the required EBU Product and Services
Ensure implementation installation of new Services are done according to MTN specifications and the equipment &upgrades are done to high standards for optimum network availability to achieve customer’s expectations.
Ensure Time to Market delivery of products and Services
Ensure equipment/hardware end to end Planning & deployment, support, feasibility.
monitoring for phasing out old and introducing new equipment.
Plan and strategize to ensure the most effective rollout to achieve targets, within the timeline and budget.
Interface with sub-contractor after the RFI is done to schedule leased line testing and site acceptance; ensure RFO checklist (for prevention of internal alarms/external alarms) is adhered to before the service is handed over to the End User Customer.
Ensure the site is handed over to MS team for maintenance after the audit is done as per the checklist.
Coordinate and balance the implementation demands from internal Network Teams (TX Access, TX Core, TX IP and TX operation departments).
Coordinate the installation of Transmission indoor and outdoor equipment
Coordinate the roll out of MTN IP Cost reduction and Resiliency plan
Develop and Present weekly and monthly reports on progress of the regional engineers regarding ongoing projects and Targets to CTO / Management and other stakeholders
Facilitate adherence to MTNA’s policy regarding quality of work.
Oversee the installation of all required infrastructure in regions is properly done and report the progress of the rollout.
Prepare Budget and BOQ’s based on marketing Inputs
Job Requirement:
Education:
BSc Electrical / Electronic or Communications Engineering
MBA or MSC in a related field will be desirable
Experience:
5-8 years experience of which 4 years in managing planning a Transmission and IP Network, at a senior level, FTTH is an advantage.
