About Première Urgence – Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI)

PU-AMI (known globally as Première Urgence Internationale, PUI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organization. PU-AMI’s teams are committed to support vulnerable communities and populations, those marginalized, hit by conflict, natural disaster or economic downturns. PU-AMI’s main objective is to contribute to reduction in morbidity and mortality, and provide emergency relief to those in immediate need in order to help them regain their dignity.

Afghan mission is the oldest of PUI missions, with the first medical intervention launched in 1979 just after the Soviet troops crossed the country’s borders. PU-AMI teams currently deliver the integrated health care, combined with nutrition, psychosocial support; water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), as well as trauma services. The organization implements projects mainly in eastern parts of the country, and increasingly in the South-East Region. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, PU-AMI has also positioned itself as one of the main actors in preparedness and response to the pandemic, implementing health and wash-cantered activities at health facilities and community level in Kabul and beyond.

Globally, PUI provides assistance to around 6 million people in 23 countries and across 5 continents: Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe.

PU-AMI (که در سطح جهان به نام PUI پی یو آی شناخته میشود) یک اداره غیردولتی، غیرانتفاعی، غیرسیاسی و غیر مذهبی مدد رسان بین ا لمللی میباشد.

تیم های  PU-AMI متعهد به حمایت  و کمک جوامع و جمعیت های آسیب پذیر به انهاییکه در اإثر منازعات- حوادث طبیعی و رکود اقتصادی منزوی شده اند میباشد.  هدف عمده PU-AMI کمک در کاهش مرگ و میر -کمک عاجل به اعاده و بازیابی حیثیت ووقار  انهاییکه در نیاز فوری قرار دارند  میباشد.

ماموریت افغانستان  قدیمی  ترین مآموریت   (PUI) پی یو آی بوده و  با اولین مداخله در بخش صحی در سال1979  فقط درست بعد از عبور نیروهای شوروی از مرز های کشور آغاز شد.

تیم های PU-AMI در حال حاضر مراقبت های صحی ادغام یافته همراه با تغذیه حمایت روانی اجتماعی-آب-نظافت و حفظ ا لصحه wash و خدمات  تردیدات یا تروما را ارایه میدارد.

این اداره عمدتآ پروژه ها را در  بخش شرقی کشور و بطور فزاینده در مناطق جنوب شرقی کشور  از زمان شیوع  COVID-19 در  2020  تطبیق مینماید .

 

PU-AMI  همچنین منحیث بازیگر اصلی در آمادگی و پاسخ به بیماری همه گیر – اجرای فعالیت های صحی و wash در سطح مراکز صحی و جامعه در کابل و فراتر از آن موقعیت خود را تثبیت نموده است.

در سطح جهان موسسه    PUIدر 23 مملکت  جهان به  6 میلیون نفر  در 5 قاره افریقا- آسیا- شرق میانه- امریکای لاتین و اروپا کمک مینماید.

 

Job Description:

 

Responsibilities and particular assignmentsمسؤلیت ها و وظایف مشخص

  • Overall supervision and leadership for FATPs covering multiple sites and catchment areas.
  • Ensure all staff in the mobile health team are following national guidelines and organizational protocols.
  • Any other activities not listed in the JD but requested by Line manager

 

 

Objective 1هدف اول :

Activities/Main dutiesفعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده:

  • Regular supervision of FATPs, Health facilities in the service delivery points.
  • Regular supervision from the base for good documentation of the tools.
  • Close follow up of facilities, and first Aide trauma post (FATPs).
  • Follow up and ensuring of quality standards during services provision.
  • On the job training to staff of Mobile Health Teams, Health facilities, and First Aide Trauma Post staff.
  • Ensuring waste management procedures are respected and maintained in all locations where PU-AMI activity takes place.
  • Collect all reports from the, Health facilities, First Aide Trauma post and make the initial feedback/analysis with staff.
  • Make sure that the medical supply distribution runs in good coordination and meets the needs of the population.
  • Ensure MoPH standards are applied during services delivery.
  • Using of standard monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools in compliance with donor, MoPH and PU-AMI requirements.
  • Providing an Action Plan after each supervision, if needed.
  • To ensure the vaccine supply is in good condition

Support medical teams on the field in implementation of ongoing activities

Main activities فعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده:

  • Provide access to quality, essential PHC services.
  • Establish a work plan for the FATPS nurses ensuring coverage of the primary trauma care catchment areas.
  • Ensure adherence to the organization’s values and professional behaviour of all nutrition staff and take the lead in resolving problems if needed

 

Objective 3هدف سوم :

Ensure proper capacity building for the staff involved in projects

Activities/Main duties  فعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده:

  • Analyse trauma projects’ health staff (FATPs nurses) and gaps, based on project implementation results and health staff performance evaluation.
  • Develop capacity building plans for health facility staff to improve the quality of care given in supported by PU-AMI health facilities.
  • Assess the training needs and propose related training for project staff; internally and externally organized.
  • Develop internal curriculum and training material for trainings.
  • Develop pre and post training follow up tools.
  • Organize and/or participate in different external or internal related training activities.
  • Participate in relevant ToT trainings on national and provincial levels.

 

Objective 4هدف چهارم

: Ensure external coordination with stakeholders, in close collaboration with the line manager

Activities/Main duties  فعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده:

  • Act as the health focal point for community leaders and beneficiaries in the assigned FATPs catchment plan.
  • Attend district level health elated meetings if required
  • In collaboration with the Line Manager and other MHTs operating in the same district ensure staff of referral facilities are informed of all aspects of the program including referral pathways
  • Assist in mapping of villages and communities that have poor access to primary trauma care and health services.
  • In collaboration with the Project officer establish referral pathways of trauma patient to other health facilities.
  •  Provide updates to the Health officers on community specific challenges and barriers.

Internal Coordination:

  • •             Participate on the weekly Health Department meetings.
  • •             Prepare herself and participate on quarterly/ bi-annual review meetings.

Reporting

  • Facilitate collection and report-drafting of trauma care activities on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitate collection and report drafting of other related projects (Emergency project, BHA, ECHO, etc.), on a monthly basis..
  • Submission of consolidated of reports to relevant health stakeholders, on regional and provincial levels.
  • Receiving feedback from relevant authorities and transferring their findings to the field.
  • Contribute to interim and final projects’ reports.
  • Receiving feedback from relevant authorities and sharing with field team.
  • Develop systematic feedback based on the reviewed monthly reports and sharing with field team for improvement of the program on monthly basis.

Develop and share monthly/quarterly feedback with the project team.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualification/ Requirements تحصیلات و شرایط لازمه

  • MD Degree with at least 3 years of public health sectors.
  • Previous experience in supervision and monitoring.
  • Working experience in trauma care is an asset.
  • Knowledge of BPHS and EPHS
  • Experience with INGO/ NGO, an asset
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) English, Dari and/or Pashto
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, in challenging security environments.
  • Good interpersonal skills, motivation for teamwork.
  • Full proficiency in MS office
