Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop and propose a comprehensive business strategy for M-Paisa to the CEO and the Board
  • Develop annual budget based on adopted business strategy and set revenue targets.
  • Sponsor development project for services and products.
  • Oversee implementation of the approved business strategy using defined monitoring KPIs.
  • Approve and oversee closure of emerging business opportunities by evaluating merits of the prospects.
  • Decide on investment requirements and options for identified business opportunities.
  • Decide on appropriate risk mitigation measures while pursuing chosen business opportunities
  • Review existing business products and commercial services to ensure continuous improvement and growth

 

  • Maintain industry knowledge, networks and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve both short- and long-term goals;
  •  Oversee compliance to regulatory and license requirements for M-Paisa.

 

  • Direct changes to product/services and policy by evaluating results and developments in the competition landscape
  • Oversee business operations efficiency and overall effectiveness of processes.
  • Oversee controls operations within the financial system based on exceptions as escalated by line management, risk management and audit.
  • Oversee the risk and compliance measures implemented and their effectiveness
  • Direct management towards  new opportunities and promotions that help increasing the volume and value of transactions.

 

SKILLS:

 

  • Stakeholder engagement, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Emphasizing Excellence, Energy Level, Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Sales Goals, Creativity, Sales Planning, Independence, Motivation for Sales & life cycle management.
  • Knowledge and experience of mobile money in general and in Afghan context

  • Appreciation of Risk management
  • Full appreciation of digital business models

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Relevant degree with least 5 years of related experience with any reputable company/organization. Master Degree an added advantage.

Marketing or Sales background. Technology background and interest is an added advantage
