The Conflict Mitigation Assistance for Civilians (COMAC) activity, implemented by Blumont Global Development, Inc., provides comprehensive victims’ assistance (VA) to Afghan families affected by conflict. COMAC is designed to operate in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan. In addition to providing VA services, COMAC also builds the capacity of its staff and community volunteers to facilitate VA service provision, conducts outreach, and empowers Afghan civil society organizations (CSOs) to raise awareness among the Afghan public and their beneficiaries on the need for and the availability of VA services.

Blumont is seeking a candidate for the position of Content Writer who will be responsible for creating content for the organization’s website, different campaign materials, newsletters and press releases, promotional materials, and social media platforms.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop content for different sections of the organization’s website.
• Research and analyze top search engine optimization (SEO) content topics.
• Quality control of content to ensure it is free of grammatical or factual errors and follows all brand editorial guidelines for consistency.
• Research and write long-form content on various assigned topics.
• Publish content on various social media platforms and analyze traffic performance.
• Prepare content for informational and promotional materials for different advocacy campaigns.
• Work with other departments to streamline reports and other contents with the general organizational policies and guidelines.
• Come up with process improvement initiatives and implement them.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

The candidate is expected to possess the following Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
• Minimum two years experience in related positions
• Familiarity with web publication techniques
• Familiarity with MS Office, marketing tools, or Google Suite
• Familiarity with content editing software
• Willingness to multitask and take new initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creativity and a keen eye for details
• Strong analytical skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Experience with both print and digital media
