Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation Systems
    1.     Technical and Systems Development
  1. Support the AME Manager and Officers to implement the AME policies and procedures as described in the ACTED AME standard guidelines and make sure that the tools are followed as applicable;
    1.     AME Implementation and Management
  1. Support the development of ToRs and mission plans for assessments, monitoring and evaluations (beneficiary verification, baselines, PDMs, endlines);
  2. Assist in the development of appropriate data collection and analysis instruments, methodologies (e.g. survey questionnaires, focus group discussions, key-informant interviews) including translation from/to English, Dari and Pashto;
  3. Liaise with AME field teams to ensure that data collection is organized and resourced as needed, and according to data quality standards;
  4. Maintain electronic and/or paper-based MIS systems for tracking and reporting all quantitative data and information;
  5. Assist in the analysis of AME data and help produce reports, and factsheets with useful statistical analysis and presentation (charts, tables, histograms, box plots) as necessary in a timely manner;

  1. Support AME Officers and capital team for proactive dissemination and use of knowledge gained through AME activities among Project Managers, Technical Coordinators and Project Development managers/Officers;
  2. Document and share the lessons learned and best practices on time and ensure that the knowledge gained contributes to the improvement of projects and influences the strategic development of future projects and activities;
  3. Support project implementation and improvement by providing timely information around project successes to be scaled up as well as challenges to allow ‘course correction’ throughout the life of the program.

  1. Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to supervisors and other team members;
  2. Participate in AME-related conferences and workshops when possible and stay up to date with best practices and new knowledge created in the field of AME;
  3. Perform any other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor. 

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Social Sciences or other relevant fields;
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position with a local or international NGO.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving and basic counseling skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Good communication skills in Dari, Pashtu, and English Languages.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressing timelines.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
