Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs

The objectives of Ministry of Border and Tribal Affairs include consolidating of national unity, resolving of disputes among tribes, recognizing the needs of tribes inhabited alongside the border and resolving their problems, convening of tribal, local and grand Jirgas for the purpose of consolidation of relation between people and the State, ensuring nationwide peace and security, protecting and assessing of borders, realizing of strategic goals as well as managing of borders related matters.

The ministry operates, in the light of preservation of national unity, to recognize the needs of tribes inhabited alongside the imaginary Durand Line, to establish coordination among various tribes with the help of scholars, tribal leaders and influential figures alongside the imaginary Durand Line, to attract students of frontier and insecure provinces into 3 high schools, to investigate border transgression according to the country’s strategy, to conduct research and study about different ethnicities and regions of the country, to hold tribal Jirgas for the purpose of ensuring nationwide peace and security  as well as to resolve disputes and issues among tribes.
