AFRANE (Amitié Franco-Afghane) is a non-profit organization created in 1980 to provide emergency relief to afghan communities. Since 1996, we dedicated our attention solely to Education. Our goal is to offer a decent learning and teaching environment as well as to improve the quality of teaching. Therefore we have a comprehensive approach and our action encompasses construction, rehabilitation of schools, library and laboratory equipment, teachers’ training, inception and diffusion of teaching tools and administrative guidance. We are active in a network of governmental schools and the number of our partners keeps growing, reaching 48 schools this year in five provinces; Kabul, Parwan, Nangarhar, Bamyan and Herat. Indeed more than 95 000 students benefit from our action. Starting on September 2020, a new project will see a scale up to reach all the public schools in 16 districts in Tcharikar, Nangarhar, Kabul and Bamian. AFRANE will, little by little, transforms its training for teachers activities to a training for trainer activities.
