About Afghanistan Cricket Board:

Cricket was first played in the country by East British Indian troops in Nangarhar, Kandahar and Kabul.

The Cricket Federation was first established in Kabul in the year 2000 and became a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the year 2000.

The national team won its first match in a tournament in Pakistan in the year 2000 and in the same year it became a member of the Cricket Federation of Asia Cricket Council.

Since then, the national team has participated in various sports and achieved good results. The country’s cricket federation was separated from the Olympic Committee in the year 2000 and a board was formed.

The national cricket team qualified for the 2015 Twenty20 World Cup for the first time after defeating the UAE national team.

Since then, the national cricket team has participated in all the Twenty20 World Cups and once again in the Fifty20 World Cup in the year 2000, which was also a success.
