Opportunity Description
Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – UN-SDGs, Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship is a collaborative mission of Ban Ki-Moon and Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), the Entrepreneurial Schools.
The 2024 Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship is now accepting applications from international applicants. Under the sponsorship of His Excellency Ban Ki-moon, this Scholarship will allow students to study and develop at a prominent university in Europe. International applicants can benefit from this Scholarship for their first year of the Master’s degree. This Scholarship may be extendable for the second year of study.

Benefits of Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship
Candidates applying for the Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship will benefit from the € 10,000 Scholarship. This Scholarship is toward students’ tuition fees and is available for non-European nationalities applying for Master’s programs. Applicants for Executive Master’s programs are eligible to apply.

Requirements of Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applying for Master’s Degree Programs, applicants should be non-EU countries citizens;
- For all Executive Master’s Degrees, applicants may be of any nationality;
- To apply for a Master’s program, a related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university is necessary. For more information, please visit the respective sub-pages of the Master’s program under “Admission.”
- Be interested and committed to SDGs, intending to continue their involvement with and support the goals through their studies;
- This Scholarship is available for freshers paying the tuition fee for the current year;
Selection Criteria Regarding SDGs
The selection committee will select applications against the following criteria:
Current (or previous) commitment to the SDGs:
- Level and nature of participation/commitment;
- Provided evidence;
- Attained impact;
Future commitment to the SDGs:
- Viability of the established goals
- Unity and similarity between the applicant’s SDG emphasis and the MCI chosen degree
- The potential impact of candidates’ objectives
